Cohort 6 Model Demonstration Projects

FHI Development 360

The Let’s Participate! Project

The “Let’s Participate!” project promotes active parental involvement in child development, and focuses on the functional needs of children in daily play and learning activities. FHI 360 is partnering with three sites (located in Massachusetts) to implement the project. The project will provide professional development on two levels – administrative leadership and service delivery.  Training modalities will include awareness workshops, implementation workshops, and coaching. In addition, assistive technology (AT) lending libraries will be developed and maintained at each of the three sites; these libraries will allow families and early intervention providers to borrow low and high technology assistive devices that can be used to assess supports.  The project will also provide toolkits to Part B preschools, which will allow access to AT devices such as computer applications and adapted materials.
